How to Prepare for This Role
The Additional Treasurer (BPS-19) position at MNS University of Agriculture Multan is a senior regular administrative role requiring a Master's degree in at least 2nd Division and at least 12 years of administrative or finance management experience in Government, Semi-Government, or educational institutions. The selection process involves document shortlisting followed by an interview. The four areas below cover what the selection committee will assess most closely for this senior finance and administration leadership role.
The qualification requires at least 12 years of administrative or finance management experience in a Government, Semi-Government, or educational institution. This is the most critical criterion for this position and will be scrutinized closely at shortlisting. In the interview, be prepared to give a clear and detailed account of your career: the organizations you served, your designation at each stage, the nature of your finance or administrative responsibilities, the size of the budgets you managed, and how long you held each role. If your experience spans both administration and finance, clearly indicate how many years are in each. Experience in university or public sector finance, budget preparation, accounts management, audit coordination, or treasury operations is directly relevant and should be highlighted with specific examples.
Ensure all experience certificates clearly state the organization type (Government or Semi-Government or educational institution), your designation, and the exact start and end dates of your service. If the certificate does not mention the nature of duties, obtain a supplementary letter from the employer specifying your finance or administrative role in detail.
As Additional Treasurer of a public university, you will assist in managing the institution's treasury functions including budget preparation, fund disbursement, salary management, provident fund, pension accounts, and university grant management. The interview will likely include questions on public sector financial rules, university accounts procedures, and treasury management. Be ready to explain how you would handle budget allocations across university departments, coordinate with the Higher Education Commission for grant utilization, and ensure compliance with government auditing requirements. Familiarity with Punjab University Acts, HEC financial guidelines, and public sector accounting standards will give you a clear advantage in the interview.
If you are currently in service, apply through the proper channel and submit a NOC from your employer. Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for the last five years may also be required. Start collecting these documents well before the deadline as they can take considerable time to obtain.
A Master's degree in at least 2nd Division from a recognized university is required. Bring attested copies of your Master's degree, detailed marks certificate, and transcripts. The committee will verify both the division awarded and the university's recognition status. In the interview, you may be asked how your academic background relates to your finance or administrative responsibilities. Candidates with degrees in commerce, public administration, management sciences, economics, or accounting are well positioned for this role. If your degree is in a different subject, be ready to explain how your academic knowledge complements your practical experience in finance and administration.
Ensure your degree certificate clearly shows the division (2nd Division or above). If your institution uses a percentage or GPA system, include a conversion note or official letter from the institution confirming the division equivalent so the committee can verify eligibility without ambiguity at the shortlisting stage.
For non-teaching positions, the University requires two complete sets (dossiers), each containing attested copies of all certificates, degrees, testimonials, detailed marks certificates, experience certificates, and the Original Bank Draft of Rs. 5,000/-. Incomplete applications will not be entertained and applications received after the due date will not be accepted under any circumstances. Prepare both dossier sets well in advance of the 22nd July 2026 hard form deadline. Verify every document is properly attested and organized consistently across both sets. The online application must be submitted by 20th July 2026, and the hard form dossiers must reach the University by 22nd July 2026. A single missing or unattested document can result in rejection at the shortlisting stage, so review your dossier carefully before submission.
