Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor's degree (at least 2nd division) from a recognized University.
  • Experience: Five years relevant office experience including at least three years experience in Scale 16 in a University or a Government or Semi-Government Organization or Educational Institute.
  • Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals who are not married to a Foreign National.

General Conditions

  2. Contribution to Pension Scheme shall be a part of initial / direct appointment.
  3. The candidates may apply separately for each post with application fee, who are intended to apply for more than one positions.
  4. Last date to apply ONLINE is 20.07.2026 and to submit the applications in hard form till 22.07.2026 four sets (dossier) for teaching positions and two sets for non-teaching positions with attested copies of all certificates, degrees, testimonials, detailed marks certificates, experience certificates, publications/research, transcripts and Bank Draft.
  5. Original Bank Draft of fee amounting to rupees indicated below, in favour of Treasurer, Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture, Multan: (i) BPS-19 and above: Rs. 5,000/- (ii) BPS-17 and 18: Rs. 3,500/- (iii) BPS-16: Rs. 2,000/-
  6. Age limit: No person who is less than 18 years and not more than 35 years shall be appointed to a post by initial/direct recruitment, to be reckoned as on the last date of advertisement. Relaxation in upper age limit will be considered as per rules.
  7. The female candidates must attach equality/gender statement certificate from Government of Pakistan Commission for Human Rights.
  8. 3% quota is reserved for disabled persons, 5% quota for Minorities (Non-Muslims) and 15% quota for women. Transgender can apply, if eligible for the post advertised for.
  9. Candidates already in service should apply through proper channel/NOC issued by the authority by due date.
  10. The Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) and forwarding for the last five years may also be required for the candidate.
  11. Applications will be short-listed according to the University prescribed criteria.
  12. The University has the right to increase or decrease the number of posts.
  13. The University reserves the right not to fill or withhold appointment against any post without assigning any reason.
  14. Candidates already on contract/daily basis/removed/dismissed from the service by any of the Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous bodies are not eligible to apply.

1Scale 16 Experience in University or Government Organization

The most critical sub-criterion is at least three years of experience specifically in Scale 16 within a University, Government, Semi-Government Organization, or Educational Institute, forming part of the total five years. The committee will check this closely at shortlisting. In the interview, clearly explain which posts you held at Scale 16, the type of organization, the exact duration, and the nature of your office duties at that grade. Bring experience certificates explicitly mentioning your pay scale and confirming the organization type. If the certificate does not state Scale 16, obtain a supplementary letter from your employer specifying your pay grade at the relevant time of service.

2University Treasury and Finance Support Experience

As Assistant Treasurer, you will support the University's treasury operations including salary preparation, fund disbursements, provident fund maintenance, budget monitoring, tax deduction at source, and coordination with the finance office for reconciliation and reporting. The interview panel will assess your practical knowledge of public sector accounting procedures, government financial rules, and university finance systems. Be ready to describe specific finance or accounts duties you performed at Scale 16, including the volume of transactions handled, the financial records maintained, and how you coordinated with internal and external stakeholders. Candidates with experience in a university accounts office or government finance department at Scale 16 are best positioned for this role.

Incomplete applications will not be entertained and applications received after the due date will not be accepted. Prepare both dossier sets well in advance of the 22nd July 2026 hard form deadline. Verify every document is properly attested and organized consistently across both sets. The online application must be submitted by 20th July 2026, and the hard form dossiers must reach the University by 22nd July 2026.
