Qualifications

Experience Required
Minimum 20 years demonstrated experience in governance, business administration, finance, commerce, or marketing in well-known organizations with commercial orientation. Additional experience in public sector organizations is desirable. Previous experience holding Chief Executive or at least departmental head level positions in reputable organizations is essential.

Based in Karachi, PIDC operates in various industrial sectors and is governed by the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act, 2023.
Pakistan Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC), a State-Owned Enterprise of the Federal Government of Pakistan, seeks a suitably qualified, proactive and dynamic professional as Chief Executive Officer. The CEO will be responsible for day-to-day management of the company and will be accountable to the Board of Directors and the Government as prescribed in the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act, 2023.

- The applicants must possess at least a graduate degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Business Administration; Public Administration; Finance; Marketing; or Engineering from a well-reputed institution duly recognized by HEC or be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants. Any additional qualifications will be advantageous.
- The candidate must possess demonstrated experience of at least 20 years in governance or business administration or finance or commerce or marketing in well-known organizations with commercial orientation. Additional experience of Public Sector organizations would be desirable. Previous experience of holding Chief Executive or at least departmental head level positions in reputable organizations is essential.
- Chief Executive shall be responsible for the day-to-day management of the company and will be accountable to the BOD and the Government as prescribed in the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operation) Act, 2023.
- The candidates will have to meet the fit & proper criteria as laid down in the SoE Act.
- Competitive salary will be offered to the successful candidate in accordance with his/her qualifications and experience within the Grade D-I salary band of PIDC. Other benefits will be as per PIDC HR policy.
- The position will be on contract basis for a period of three years.
