Deputy Director (Infrastructure and Operations)

The Government of Sindh - Planning and Development Department invites applications for Deputy Director (Infrastructure and Operations). This position is responsible for managing IT infrastructure, network operations, and system administration for the department. The role involves overseeing server administration, virtualization, cloud hosting, network security, and disaster recovery systems. This is a contract position for one year, extendable based on performance. Applicants must be domicile/PRC holders of Sindh with a maximum age limit of 40 years.

Key Responsibilities

• • Oversee IT Infrastructure Management and Network Operations
• • Manage Server Administration and Virtualization systems
• • Implement and maintain Cloud Hosting solutions
• • Ensure Network Security and manage Firewalls
• • Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Systems
• • Implement IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices
• • Establish and maintain Cyber Security Frameworks
• • Monitor system performance using Performance Monitoring Tools
• • Support government and public sector IT operations

Requirements

• ✓ Bachelor's degree in IT / Network / Systems Engineering or equivalent (at least 16 years of education)
• ✓ Minimum 2.5 CGPA or Second Division from HEC recognized university
• ✓ Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Management, Network Operations, or System Administration
• ✓ Preference given to candidates with government or public sector project experience
• ✓ Must be domicile/PRC holder of Sindh
• ✓ Maximum age limit: 40 years (as of closing date)
