ECSP invites applications from qualified engineers for the position of Assistant Resident Engineer (Civil/MEP). This role supports the Resident Engineer in on-site supervision, quality monitoring, and project management activities across infrastructure projects. The position is open for both Civil and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) disciplines.

Qualifications
- Minimum 16 years of education in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an HEC-recognized university
- PEC Registration required
- Master’s Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or in a relevant discipline will be preferred
Experience
- Minimum 07 years of post-qualification experience in construction supervision, project management, and implementation of infrastructure projects or in a similar role

How to Prepare for This Role
An Assistant Resident Engineer interview at ECSP evaluates your hands-on site supervision experience, technical understanding of your discipline (Civil or MEP), and your ability to support project management under a senior engineer. Seven years of post-qualification experience is the minimum, so bring clear, specific examples of your site work.
Bring your updated CV, attested copies of your engineering degree, PEC registration certificate, CNIC, and experience certificates covering a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification construction supervision or infrastructure project management work. Include any Master’s degree in Construction or Project Management if applicable.
Clearly label your experience certificates with project names, your specific role, and duration. Panels check whether your 7 years are genuinely post-qualification.
Review site supervision procedures, quality control checklists, progress measurement, contractor coordination, and reporting requirements for your discipline. For Civil: earthworks, concrete works, road and drainage construction. For MEP: mechanical systems, electrical installations, plumbing and HVAC. Be ready to explain your role in day-to-day site supervision on a past project.
ECSP operates in infrastructure, public health, urban planning, and energy sectors. Align your technical examples with infrastructure or public sector projects for the strongest fit.
Expect questions on how you supervised daily site activities, identified and resolved quality issues, coordinated with contractors and other disciplines, and prepared progress reports. Be ready to discuss a specific project where you played a hands-on supervision role and the outcome of your contribution.
Highlight a situation where you identified a technical issue on-site and how you escalated or resolved it. Problem-solving ability and technical judgment are what distinguish strong Assistant REs from routine ones.
Arrive with originals and attested copies of all documents. Dress formally. Be confident and specific about your site experience and technical contributions on real projects. Clarity of examples and professional presentation will work in your favour.
