About the Role

Cactus Communications is seeking highly qualified researchers and subject matter experts to serve as Freelance Peer Reviewers. We are looking for specialists in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science to help maintain the highest standards of academic integrity and scientific rigor for international journals and publishers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess Novelty: Determine if manuscripts provide original contributions or new insights to the specific field of study.
• Evaluate Methodology: Analyze study designs and methods to ensure they are appropriate, comprehensive, and reproducible.
• Literature Review: Verify that manuscripts include and accurately cite up-to-date and relevant research.
• Results Analysis: Evaluate whether conclusions are supported by the data provided and are significant to the discipline.
• Constructive Feedback: Provide clear, concise, and professional feedback to authors, highlighting flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Publication Recommendations: Advise journal editors on whether a manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.

Requirements

• Education: Doctorate (PhD/MD) or an equivalent advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Publication Record: At least two publications within the last two years in your respective field.
• Expertise: A thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles.
• Communication: Strong written skills with the ability to deliver objective and constructive critiques.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
• Availability: Ability to manage time effectively and adhere to strict editorial deadlines.
• Transparency: Willingness to disclose your full name and professional affiliations to publishers.
