Qualification & Experience
- The candidate should possess a Master's degree or higher from a recognized and reputable university, or equivalent professional distinction, with at least 15 years of progressively responsible leadership experience, including a minimum of five (05) years in a senior executive position such as Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean, Director, Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director, or an equivalent leadership role within higher education, public administration, policy institutions, international development organizations, or the corporate sector.
- The candidate must demonstrate a proven record of strategic leadership and institution building, including experience in organizational transformation, governance, innovation, academic and administrative management, financial oversight, stakeholder engagement, talent development, entrepreneurship, and operational excellence.
- Experience in establishing, leading, launching, scaling, or transforming universities, higher education institutions, research centers, public sector organizations, innovation ecosystems, technology initiatives, or other complex strategic ventures shall be considered a distinct advantage. Demonstrated success in fostering research, innovation, startup ecosystems, and cross-sector collaboration will be highly valued.
- The candidate should possess a deep understanding of Pakistan's higher education landscape, regulatory and accreditation frameworks, public sector governance, and partnership development. The candidate should have demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams, manage significant institutional budgets and resources, mobilize external funding, and cultivate strategic relationships with government, industry, donors, development partners, and national and international academic institutions.
