King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore invites applications for appointment on Contract Basis for the post of Additional Director (IT) (BPS-19). This is a senior IT management position responsible for overseeing information technology operations and projects at KEMU.

Qualification and Eligibility
Option A:
- Ph.D. Computer Sciences or Information Technology or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; and
- 07 years post terminal qualification relevant experience in a medical college or teaching hospital or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
Option B (OR):
- M.Phil. or MS in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; and
- 10 years post terminal qualification experience of management of information technology related projects in public or private sector organization or company or firm or Government department or institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
Terms and Conditions
- Appointment will be made according to the University Rules.
- Final appointment will be subject to the verification of education degree & experience certificates (any expenditure in this regard will be borne by the candidate/employee).
- Five years relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed across the board. However female candidates will be given 08 years relaxation as per government notification No. SORI(S&GAD) 9-36/81, dated. 21-05-2012.
- Applicants having Punjab Domicile are required to submit application/dossiers on the prescribed Performa available at the University website i.e. http://kemu.edu.pk/jobs along with attested copies of documents, degree, certificates, CNIC, domicile and fresh passport size colored photographs.
- Application Performa should be filled and submitted in the University office (Room No.01), KEMU along with a bank draft/pay order of Rs. 2000/- in the favor of Vice Chancellor, KEMU, Lahore.
- Applicants are also required to submit an online application on the Careers Portal through https://careers.kemu.edu.pk/ along with the hard-copy submission procedure explained above.
- The applicants having foreign degree must have HEC equivalence certificate.
- Government Servants should submit the applications through proper channel.
- Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
- Incomplete application forms will not be entertained.
- No TA & DA will be allowed.
- Application sent via post/TCS must also reach before the deadline i.e. 5th July, 2026.
- Any shortcoming in documentation may lead to rejection of application.
- Last date for submission of applications is 5th July 2026.
How to Prepare for This Role

PhD in Computer Science/IT (HEC recognized) + 7 years experience in medical college/teaching hospital/HEC university OR M.Phil/MS in CS/IT + 10 years IT project management experience in public/private sector. Age 30 to 45 years.

Highlight experience in managing IT projects across public or private sector organizations, government departments, or HEC recognized institutions. Experience in a medical college or teaching hospital environment is a strong advantage for the PhD pathway.
