About the Job

King Edward Medical University (KEMU), Lahore invites applications for appointment on Contract Basis for the post of Professor (Medical Education) (BPS-21). This is a senior teaching post in the Medical Education department at one of Pakistan's most prestigious public sector medical universities.

Job Details

Qualification and Eligibility

Basic Qualification:

• MBBS/BDS (for dental section) or equivalent medical qualification as determined by HEC/PM&DC.
• Ph.D Medical Education or any equivalent qualification as determined by PM&DC/HEC in respective subject.

Experience Option A:

• 5 years teaching experience in relevant subject as Associate Professor in a PM&DC HEC recognized university/Medical/Dental College.

Experience Option B (OR):

• 10 years teaching experience in relevant subject as Assistant Professor in a PM&DC/HEC recognized university/Medical/Dental College.
• At least 15 research publications in the relevant subject (with at least 5 in last five years be published in standard medical journal as approved by the HEC/PM&DC).

Terms and Conditions

1. Appointment will be made according to the University Rules.
2. Final appointment will be subject to the verification of education degree & experience certificates (any expenditure in this regard will be borne by the candidate/employee).
3. Five years relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed across the board. However female candidates will be given 08 years relaxation as per government notification No. SORI(S&GAD) 9-36/81, dated. 21-05-2012.
4. Applicants having Punjab Domicile are required to submit application/dossiers on the prescribed Performa available at the University website i.e. http://kemu.edu.pk/jobs along with attested copies of documents, degree, certificates, CNIC, domicile and fresh passport size colored photographs.
5. Application Performa should be filled and submitted in the University office (Room No.01), KEMU along with a bank draft/pay order of Rs. 2000/- in the favor of Vice Chancellor, KEMU, Lahore.
6. Applicants are also required to submit an online application on the Careers Portal through https://careers.kemu.edu.pk/ along with the hard-copy submission procedure explained above.
7. PMDC recognition certificate of experience (showing the eligibility) must be attached with documents.
8. Valid PM&DC Certificate must be attached.
9. The applicants having foreign degree must have HEC equivalence certificate.
10. Government Servants should submit the applications through proper channel.
11. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
12. Incomplete application forms will not be entertained.
13. No TA & DA will be allowed.
14. Application sent via post/TCS must also reach before the deadline i.e. 5th July, 2026.
15. Any shortcoming in documentation may lead to rejection of application.
16. Last date for submission of applications is 5th July 2026.
