1. Registrar (BS-20)
The Registrar is the chief administrative officer of the university, serving as the custodian of the common seal and academic records. This role acts as the ex-officio secretary of the Senate, Syndicate, Academic Council, and Advanced Studies and Research Board.
- Key Responsibilities: Overseeing university secretariat operations, managing human resources, execution of statutes and regulations, student admissions, registration processes, and maintaining liaison with the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and relevant government bodies.
- Appointment Details: Three (03) years Contract (Non-Extendable) | No. of Post: 01
- Age Limit: Minimum 40 years | Maximum 50 years
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Option A: Ph.D. in any discipline or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; AND Eight years post-qualification teaching or administrative or professional experience in a Public or Private Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Public Sector Organization.
- Option B: MS or M.Phil. (2nd Division) in any discipline or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; AND Ten years post-qualification teaching or administrative or professional experience in a Public or Private Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Public Sector Organization.
- Option C: Master's Degree or BS (2nd Division) in any discipline or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; AND Twelve years post-qualification teaching or administrative or professional experience in a Public or Private Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Public Sector Organization.
2. Treasurer (BS-20)
The Treasurer is the chief financial officer of the university, responsible for managing the institution's fiscal health, assets, and financial strategies.
- Key Responsibilities: Preparation of the annual university budget, financial forecasting, management of public funds, grants, and endowments, ensuring rigorous internal and external audits, fiscal compliance with Punjab government rules, and advising the Vice Chancellor and Syndicate on all financial matters.
- Appointment Details: Three (03) years Contract (Non-Extendable) | No. of Post: 01
- Age Limit: Minimum 40 years | Maximum 50 years
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Option A: Ph.D. in Finance or Commerce or Accounting or Auditing or Economics or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; AND Eight years post-qualification relevant experience.
- Option B: MS or M.Phil. (2nd Division) in Finance or Commerce or Accounting or Auditing or Economics or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; AND Ten years post-qualification relevant experience.
- Option C: MBA in (Finance) or M.Com. or ACCA or ACMA or M.Sc. in (Economics) 2nd division or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; AND Twelve years post-qualification relevant experience.
3. Controller of Examinations (BS-20)
The Controller of Examinations is the executive head of the assessment system, responsible for maintaining the sanctity, integrity, and absolute confidentiality of the entire university examination and evaluation process.
- Key Responsibilities: Designing and executing secure examination schedules, managing the evaluation system, prompt compilation and declaration of results, issuance of transcripts and degrees, and implementing modern, digitized examination reforms.
- Appointment Details: Three (03) years Contract (Non-Extendable) | No. of Post: 01
- Age Limit: Minimum 40 years | Maximum 50 years
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Option A: Ph.D. in any discipline or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission; AND Eight years post-qualification teaching or administrative or professional experience in a Public or Private Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Public Sector Organization.
- Option B: MS or M.Phil. (2nd Division) in any discipline or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; AND Ten years post-qualification teaching or administrative or professional experience in a Public or Private Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Public Sector Organization.
- Option C: Master's Degree or BS (2nd Division) in any discipline or equivalent qualification from an institute or a university recognized by Higher Education Commission; AND Twelve years post-qualification teaching or administrative or professional experience in a Public or Private Institute or University recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Public Sector Organization.
Note: Pay, Leave, Perks & Privileges as admissible to a Government Servant in BS-20.
Terms & Conditions / Instructions
- Interested applicants are required to apply through the University website at http://jobs.kum.edu.pk and MUST also submit the hard copy of application form along with required documents.
- Three duly bound copies of the application dossier on the prescribed proforma, along with following attested documents and a detailed CV, should reach the Registrar Office, Kohsar University Murree:
- Copies of attested degrees, certificates and transcripts from HEC/Boards/Universities.
- Copies of experience certificates duly issued by the respective HR Department.
- Copy of Valid CNIC.
- Copy of domicile certificate (Punjab only).
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- Foreign degree holders (where applicable) must provide an equivalence certificate issued by HEC.
- A pay order/bank draft of Rs. 3,000/- as a non-refundable processing fee in favor of Treasurer, Kohsar University, Murree, must be attached in original (NTN: 9022631).
- Only candidates domiciled in Punjab are eligible to apply.
- Applicants already working in Government/Semi-Government organizations or Autonomous Bodies should apply through proper channel by June 17, 2026 and submit service certificates issued by their present employer; otherwise, their applications will not be entertained. However, the University may entertain advance copies of applications.
- Application must be submitted through Postal/Courier service only. By-hand submission shall not be entertained.
- Applicant must submit a separate application form, separate processing fee and separate set of required documents for each post.
- The name of the post applied for must be clearly written on the top right corner of the envelope.
- Applicant must provide the No Inquiry/Audit Pending Certificate from their current organization/institution and from previous employer(s)/organization(s), if currently left the previous job.
- Applications received after the due date or with incomplete documents shall not be entertained.
- If a candidate who applied after obtaining NOC from his or her parent department/institution/university and get selected in any other department / institution / university during the selection process, he/she shall be required to submit a fresh NOC immediately from the new employer; otherwise, the application shall stand rejected ab-initio.
- Only degrees awarded by HEC recognized universities/degree-awarding institutions shall be considered.
- Relaxation in upper age limit may be granted to suitable candidates as per Government of Punjab Rules.
- Experience of BS-17 and above shall be considered for these statutory positions.
- The University shall not be responsible for delayed or non-receipt of call letters due to any lapse on the part of the courier service, post office, or telecommunication system.
- Candidates dismissed/terminated from service or penalized by any University/Government Department/Autonomous Body/Semi-Government organization shall not be eligible for the above-mentioned posts.
- In case any information provided by the candidate in the application form is found to be incorrect or false at any stage, he/she shall be disqualified and legal/disciplinary action shall be taken as per rules.
- The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts, not to fill any post, withhold appointments against any advertised post, or accept/reject any application without assigning any reason.
- Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview, and no TA/DA shall be admissible.
- The decision of the University shall remain binding in all cases.
- Applications shall NOT be processed if:
- a. Hard copy of the prescribed application form is not submitted by the due date.
- b. Processing Fee is not submitted.
- c. Required documents are incomplete.
