About the job
Ministry of Energy seeks experienced Legal Advisor for Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions. Specialized role requiring 7+ years petroleum law expertise, with focus on LNG/LPG transactions and international arbitration.
Qualifications
Masters or equivalent qualification in Law from any HEC recognized institute/university/college. Foreign qualification in Petroleum Laws, Policy and Contracts will be preferred. Valid License to plead cases on behalf of the Petroleum Division in the High Courts of Pakistan is mandatory.
Experience Required
Minimum 7 years of experience in legal practice, law firm, or government/corporate/autonomous bodies advising on international energy transactions, preferably LNG/LPG business and supply chain. Sound knowledge of Pakistani petroleum sector laws, rules, policies, and contracts. Experience in international and local arbitration cases in petroleum sector preferred.

Requirements

The Directorate General of Petroleum Concessions, Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) is seeking applications from suitable Pakistani candidates for the position of Legal Advisor to be posted in Directorate General (LGs) on contract basis:

- The initial period of contract will be two years, which may be extended subject to requirement and satisfactory annual performance.
- Maximum age will be counted from Date of Birth as per Matriculation Certificate or Equivalent, upto 15th day of the advertisement. Similarly minimum relevant experience will be counted from 1st day of relevant experience after date of announcement of issuance of Mark Sheet.
