About the Job

The Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Bannu invites applications for the position of Deputy Director Finance on a contractual basis. MTI Bannu has been designated as an autonomous institution with a Board of Governors prescribed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institution Reform Act 2015. The selected professional will serve under a highly responsible administrative structure, coordinating and supervising all financial management, budgeting, and accounting affairs of the institution.

Qualification

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3 years post-qualification experience in finance/accounts in a major private or public company/institution, OR
  • ICMAP certification or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Accounts, or relevant field with 6 years post-qualification experience in finance/accounts
  • Preference given to candidates with tertiary care hospital experience

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience (CA)
  • Minimum 6 years post-qualification experience (ICMAP/Masters)
  • Experience in major private or public company/institution
  • Healthcare/hospital finance management experience preferred

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all financial management and accounting matters of the Institution
  • Prepare detailed regulations and procedures for financial management for approval by Management Committee and Boards of Governors
  • Advise Finance, Hospital, Medical Directors and Dean on all financial matters
  • Ensure all accounts are kept according to approved rules and regulations
  • Assist in development of Medical College and Hospital Budgets
  • Prepare annual financial reports for Board of Governors approval
  • Facilitate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations
  • Prepare budget books and maintain financial and HR resources
  • Report through Finance Director to Dean/CEO, Hospital Director and Board of Governors
  • Ensure compliance with MTI Act 2015 and regulations
