How to Prepare for This Role

NGC's selection panel for the Manager Audit (Quality Review & Reporting) role will assess your expertise in audit report quality control, IIA standards conformance, follow-up tracking, and Board Audit Committee reporting. This role bridges the gap between field audit teams and senior governance stakeholders. Use this guide to prepare for a structured interview.

๐Ÿ“Œ
Note: This role requires demonstrated experience in reviewing and finalizing audit reports, tracking outstanding audit findings, and preparing board-level status reports. The panel will assess your familiarity with IIA Standards and your ability to evaluate auditor performance and ensure quality in audit outputs.
1Application Documents to Prepare

Email your updated CV with a recent photograph and date of birth in MS Word or PDF format to mgr-audit2@enihr.com by 6 July 2026. Your CV should clearly reflect your CA/ACMA/ACCA qualification and specific experience in quality reviewing audit reports, managing audit finding follow-up, and preparing reports for audit committees.

Tip
Highlight any experience preparing status reports of outstanding audit findings for a Board Audit Committee or senior management. Board-level reporting is a key competency for this role and will differentiate strong candidates from others with general audit experience.
2Technical Knowledge to Review

Be ready to discuss: how you conduct a quality review of an audit draft report against IIA Standards, how you track and validate management remediation of audit findings, how you prepare a Board Audit Committee report on outstanding findings, how you review working papers for compliance with IA policies, and how you evaluate and counsel auditors on performance and professional development.

Key Point
IIA Standards for quality review and follow-up are central to this role. Review the IIA Performance Standards related to quality of communications (Standard 2420), monitoring progress (Standard 2500), and resolution of senior management's acceptance of risk (Standard 2600) before your interview.
3Competency Questions to Expect

The NGC panel will assess your quality review and reporting capabilities. Prepare examples that demonstrate: how you identified and corrected a significant quality issue in a draft audit report, how you managed a backlog of overdue audit findings and drove management remediation, how you prepared a Board Audit Committee report on unresolved findings, and how you evaluated and developed the performance of audit team members.

Pro Tip
Prepare a specific example of a Board Audit Committee report you prepared, covering the structure of the report, the key findings included, and how the committee responded. Board-level reporting experience is a strong differentiator for this role and will be directly explored by the NGC panel.
4On the Day of Interview

Arrive with all original credentials and attested copies. Dress formally. Demonstrate precision and clarity when discussing audit quality, reporting, and follow-up processes. Show that you understand the expectations of Board Audit Committees and can serve as the link between field audit teams and senior governance stakeholders. NGC values audit managers who combine quality rigor with strong stakeholder communication skills.
