Main Duties & Responsibilities

• To supervise, monitor, and operate the complex via SCADA reliably and efficiently under the direct supervision of the Shift Charge Engineer and through prudent utility practice.
• To assist the Shift Charge Engineer in maintaining close liaison with ISMO/RCC/NGC, as well as the 132kV Dadyal & Kotli Grid Stations for all the necessary activities regarding switching operations and plant status.
• To assist the Shift Charge Engineer in tackling emergency situations if any occur.
• To identify and report plant defects, ensuring that defects are reported as soon as possible, and to liaise with the maintenance section to that effect.
• To assist the shift charge engineer in providing technical input on the safe and efficient operation of the plant, especially during the restoration of supply after a station blackout or system collapse.
• To assist the Senior Charge Engineer in the submission of daily station generation, plant tripping reports, and declaration and re-declaration reports to the NPCC as per requirements.
• To prepare the daily operational log and assist the senior shift charge engineer in the preparation of fault/tripping reports, DIR, and IIR.
• To ensure the operation of the complex stays within technical limits as per SOP / PPA.
• Any other non-routine work or task assigned as per the instructions of the OM / HOD.
