About the Job

Saidu Medical College (SMC) & Saidu Teaching Hospital (STH), a Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) established under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Teaching Institution Reforms Act 2015 (as amended), is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the position of Nursing Director on a contractual basis under the provisions of the MTI Act, 2015 (as amended) and the applicable Rules and Regulations of the institution.

The Nursing Director will be responsible for all nursing functions of the hospital, including training of nursing staff, ensuring adequate nursing staff for all clinical needs, maintaining the highest nursing standards, performing regular audits of nursing functions, and preparing an annual plan and budget for the nursing department. The Nursing Director shall perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the Board and will report to the Board of Governors. The tenure for this position shall be up to five (5) years, subject to the terms and conditions as prescribed under the MTI Act, Rules, and Regulations.

Qualification & Experience

Registered Nurse (RN) with BScN preferably MScN from recognized institution with valid Pakistan Nursing Council registration and minimum 07 years administrative/teaching experience in reputable healthcare institution.

Responsibilities

The Nursing Director will be responsible for all nursing functions, including:

• Training of nursing staff.
• Ensuring adequate nursing staff for all clinical needs.
• Maintaining the highest nursing standards.
• Performing regular audits of nursing functions.
• Preparing an annual plan and budget for the nursing department.
• The Nursing Director shall perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the Board.
• Report to the Board of Governors.

6. Only post qualification experience will be considered.
7. Any candidate may be disqualified or excluded from interview if he/she was: (a) Knowingly furnishes any false information. (b) Suppresses any information which may lead to his/her disqualification. (c) Submits forged/fake certificates including education and experience etc.
8. The service of the incumbent will be governed by the Medical Teaching Institution Reform Act 2015 and its amendments made, Rules and Regulations of the Institution.
9. In case of selection, the candidate shall resign from Previous Job.
10. The Institution reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
11. The prescribed quota for disabilities and minorities will be maintained as per rule.
12. Any attempt to approach or influence the selection committee will automatically disqualify the applicant.
13. The decision of the selection committee will be final subject to approval by the Board of Governors.
14. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Test/Interview.
15. After a final decision no correspondence regarding the process will be entertained.
