๐Ÿ“Œ
Note: Apply online at www.ppmc.gov.pk/jobs before 6th July 2026. Upload your CV, Educational Certificates, Experience Certificates, CNIC and Photograph in the prescribed format. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test or interview.
1Climate Finance and Green Energy Frameworks

The core of this role is green financing, and the ad specifically requires knowledge of climate finance, carbon finance, renewable energy, climate funding windows, and their investment criteria. In the test or interview, be ready to explain concepts such as green bonds, climate funds, carbon markets, and how international climate financing mechanisms such as the Green Climate Fund or climate facility windows operate. Be prepared to describe how you have applied this knowledge in previous roles, including any experience evaluating climate-related investment proposals or working with energy transition projects. The ad also requires knowledge of national energy and climate policy frameworks, so review Pakistan's Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and the power sector's renewable energy targets before your interview.

Tip
Knowledge of Pakistan's national energy and climate policy and frameworks is listed as required (not just preferred). Come prepared with specific knowledge of the country's energy policy direction, including renewable energy targets and the role of PPMC within the Ministry of Energy's planning structure.
2Energy Sector and Banking Experience

The ad requires five years of experience in the energy field and gives preference to candidates with experience in climate finance, energy transition, and renewable energy. It also gives preference to candidates who have worked with corporate and investment banking teams on deals and transactions. Be ready to describe specific energy sector projects or transactions you have been involved in, including your role, the financing structure, and the outcome. If you have worked in a bank on energy-related deals, describe the type of transactions, the stakeholders involved, and what your contribution was. Prepare examples that demonstrate your understanding of both the technical and financial dimensions of energy projects.

Key Point
PPMC supports the Ministry of Energy and evaluates power sector entities. Demonstrating familiarity with how power sector financing, project development, or energy policy intersects with financial analysis will strengthen your candidacy significantly in both the test and the interview.
3Performance Monitoring and Data Visualization

The ad requires familiarity with performance monitoring systems, data visualization tools, and ensuring data consistency and integrity. Prepare to discuss which monitoring or reporting tools you have used in previous roles, how you tracked project or financial performance, and how you ensured the accuracy and integrity of data across reports or dashboards. If you have used tools such as Power BI, Excel dashboards, or sector-specific monitoring platforms, describe your experience with them. Be ready to explain how you have identified data inconsistencies, what steps you took to resolve them, and how your work contributed to reliable reporting for decision-makers.

Tip
PPMC monitors and evaluates Power Sector Entities. Your ability to track performance, maintain data integrity, and present findings clearly is directly relevant to how this role supports the organization's mandate. Link your monitoring experience to the power sector context wherever possible.
4Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

The ad lists strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills, the ability to support structured review processes, outstanding communication, and minute writing as pre-requisites. In the interview, be prepared to give examples of how you have coordinated across multiple organizations or departments, facilitated review meetings, or prepared formal written communication such as meeting minutes, policy briefs, or reports for senior management. The ad specifically mentions minute writing as a required skill, so be prepared to discuss your experience with formal documentation of meetings and decisions. Demonstrating that you can work effectively with government bodies, financial institutions, and development organizations will directly address the stakeholder engagement requirement for this role at PPMC.
