About the Job

Power Planning & Monitoring Company (PPMC) is mandated to provide policy and technical support to Ministry of Energy (Power Division), integrated planning of the Power Sector of Pakistan, development and implementation of strategic plans for power sector, and to administer, monitor and evaluate performance of Power Sector Entities under the approved policies/plans.

The Company is seeking applications for the position of Specialist (Planning) from eligible people, who can perform the tasks assigned to the Company. The first 03 months shall be on probation and thereafter shall be continued as per company policy.

Job Details

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)

• Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Power / Computers / Mechatronics / Electronics / Energy Engineering from HEC recognized / affiliated institute / university.
• The candidate must have 05 years of relevant experience in a reputable national / multinational organization.
• Certification(s) in the relevant field will be preferred.
• The candidate should possess experience related to:
  • Tariff design & modelling
  • Sensitivity analyses, scenario developments and decision support for the policymakers
  • Designing and evaluation of incentive schemes
  • Long-term resource assessments based on system planning
  • Preference will be given to candidates possessing hands-on experience of relevant tools

Remuneration & Age

• The selected candidate will be offered a market-based, competitive remuneration package, commensurate with their skills and experience as per company policy.
• The maximum age limit is 40 years as of the closing date of the advertisement. No age relaxation will be permitted.
