About This Role
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is seeking a Strength and Fitness Instructor (Specialist) to deliver safe, inclusive, and high-quality fitness environment services. This role involves individual training guidance, group fitness programming, equipment management, safety monitoring, facility maintenance, and administrative reporting. The instructor will conduct gym inductions, supervise users, enforce safety protocols, and provide emergency response as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- • Design and deliver individual training guidance tailored to user fitness levels and goals
- • Conduct group fitness programming and classes
- • Manage gym equipment and conduct maintenance checks
- • Monitor facility usage and enforce safety protocols
- • Conduct gym inductions for new users
- • Supervise facility users and provide emergency response
- • Maintain facility cleanliness and equipment condition
- • Prepare administrative reports and documentation
- • Stay updated on fitness trends and professional development
Requirements & Qualifications
- ✓ Bachelor's Degree or HEC-recognized equivalent
- ✓ Certified fitness instructor credentials (ACSM, ACE, NASM or similar)
- ✓ First Aid & CPR certification (required or willing to obtain)
- ✓ Minimum 3 years of relevant gym instruction or fitness training experience
- ✓ Strong exercise science foundation with program design capability
- ✓ Knowledge of equipment safety and nutrition principles
- ✓ Professional and proactive demeanor with excellent communication abilities
- ✓ Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations
- ✓ Team collaboration orientation and commitment to continuous professional development
