School of Dentistry (SOD), Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), Islamabad, under the Department of Medical Education, is inviting applications for recruitment to the following posts on a contractual basis. The positions range from BPS-06 to BPS-16 and cover clinical, technical, and support roles within the School of Dentistry, designated for OMFS.

How to Prepare for This Role

1. O.T Nurse (BPS-16) is the highest-graded clinical post in this advertisement and carries a specific age bracket of 25 to 30 years. The qualification requires either a BS Nursing of 4 years or a BSN of 2 years completed post-RN registration. Valid PNC (Pakistan Nursing Council) registration is a separate and mandatory eligibility condition listed independently from the degree. Before applying, confirm your PNC registration certificate is current. The 1 year of experience must be post-registration and from a Government, Semi Government, or Private Hospital. Experience gained during internship or during the degree program will not count toward this requirement.
2. Staff Nurse (BPS-14, 3 posts) requires BS Nursing or BSN with valid PNC registration. The advertisement explicitly states that preference will be given to candidates with previous OT or Scrub experience with 2 years of hospital service. If your work history includes operation theatre or scrub nurse duties, structure your experience certificates and CV to highlight this specifically. The hospital or institution issuing your experience letter should state your designation, the nature of work performed, and whether it involved OT or Scrub functions, as this is the primary differentiator at the shortlisting stage.
3. Sub Engineer Electro Medical (BPS-14) requires a Diploma from a University or Institution Duly Recognized by HEC, with 3 years of experience specifically in the public sector. All 3 years of experience must be from public sector organizations. Private sector experience will not be counted for this post. 4. Anesthesia Technician (BPS-06, 2 posts) requires a 2-year Anesthesia Technician Diploma with 2 years of experience from a recognized institute or hospital. Dental Chair Assistant (BPS-07, 3 posts) requires a 2-year Dental Technician or Hygienist Diploma with 3 years of hospital experience. For both positions, attach your diploma certificate along with your experience certificates. Each experience certificate must be from a recognized institution or hospital and must clearly state your designation and duration of service in the relevant clinical role.
5. Dresser (BPS-06) requires FA or FSc with Sciences and a 2-year Diploma with 1 year of relevant experience. Receptionist (BPS-06) requires FA or FSc (Sciences) with 1 year of hospital experience. Sterilization Technician CSSD (BPS-06, 2 posts) requires Matric (Sciences) with 3 years of hospital experience in the relevant field. For all BPS-06 posts and the BPS-07 Dental Chair Assistant post, the age range is 18 to 25 years, with 5 years of relaxation available under Federal Government Rules. Ensure your educational certificates clearly show the Sciences stream or subjects studied, as this is a stated requirement for the Dresser and Receptionist positions.
