Qualifications
- MBBS with valid PMDC registration.
- Post-Graduate Fellowship Training completion certificate in relevant field.
- The Trainee Registrar is a tenure post for a period of Two years.
- For Trainee Registrar A&E, Candidates with General Medicine are eligible to apply.
General Information
- Candidates can apply from all over Pakistan.
- The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out duties in accordance with the MTI Act-2015 as amended from time to time and under Regulations-2019 framed under the ibid MTI Act.
- Selection will be made through a Selection Committee constituted by the Board of Governors MTI DIKhan.
- Only short-listed candidates will be called for an interview.

How to Prepare for This Role
The Trainee Registrar (TR) position at Mufti Mehmood Memorial Teaching Hospital, MTI Dera Ismail Khan, is a two-year tenure post under the KPK MTI Act 2015. The post is available in six specializations and selection is conducted through a committee constituted by the Board of Governors. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview where MBBS qualification, PMDC registration, fellowship training, and clinical competency will all be assessed. For Orthopedics, review fracture management, orthopedic surgical principles, cast and traction techniques, and common musculoskeletal conditions. For Pediatrics, prepare on neonatal care, pediatric emergencies, childhood immunization schedules, and common childhood illnesses. For Dermatology, review common skin conditions, dermatological procedures, and drug reactions. For Diagnostic Radiology, prepare on imaging modalities, basic radiological interpretation, and radiation safety principles.
Only apply for the specialization in which you have completed your Post-Graduate Fellowship Training. The selection committee will test you on that specific discipline and will verify your fellowship certificate against the specialization applied for. Applying for a specialization outside your fellowship training will result in disqualification at the interview stage.
The selected candidate will carry out duties under the MTI Act-2015 (as amended) and MTI Regulations-2019 framed under the ibid MTI Act. The interview panel may ask about the role of a Trainee Registrar within a Medical Teaching Institution, the supervision structure, and performance obligations under the Board of Governors. Demonstrate your understanding that this is a two-year tenure post under contract, and that your duties include patient care, clinical documentation, supervision of junior staff, and participation in the teaching and training functions of the hospital.
