MEPCO, a leading Public Sector Power Distribution Company with more than 8.6 million consumers and over 15,000 employees, seeks to appoint a results-driven and visionary legal executive for the position of Chief Supply Chain Management Officer at its headquarters in Multan. The company operates across 13 districts in Southern Punjab under a highly regulated environment and aims to ensure compliance, legal soundness, and governance excellence in all aspects of its operations.

Position Details

Job Description

• Develop MEPCO supply chain strategy based on organizational vision, strategic goals and direction from CEO and Board Committees.
• Manage procurement team to perform their duties as per PPRA Rules and MEPCO procurement practices and agreed goals.
• Lead all procurement tasks for equipment, supplies, and services necessary for MEPCO to be used in its business.
• Manage teams responsible for all inventory control and logistics of MEPCO for efficient and cost-effective distribution of equipment, supplies, etc., to be delivered to teams of other departments.
• Ensure effective utilization of the ERP system of MEPCO for optimal supply chain execution.
• Coordinate with other department heads to maximize effectiveness of supply chain and procurement functions.
• Updates supply chain framework periodically and validate its alignment with internal business requirements and external macro-economic dynamics.

Qualifications Required

• 16 years degree (Master's degree preferred) in Supply Chain from a local or foreign university recognized by HEC.
• Certifications or courses on supply chain management from institutions of high repute (national/international) will be a strong plus.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience, including at least two (2) years in a senior leadership role as Head of Department or in an equivalent strategic leadership position within a large-scale public sector, national, multinational or corporate organization, with due regard to the nature, level and strategic significance of the experience rather than designation or job title alone.

Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit: 62 years at the time of closing date.
• No further relaxation will be granted under any circumstances.

Remuneration

• Market-based competitive salary package (Rs. 0.8 to Rs. 1 million per month). The Salary Package will be negotiable commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• The role includes additional benefits, allowances, and facilities admissible under the Company's policy for C-1 Level executives.
• Annual performance appraisal will be conducted by the MEPCO Board of Directors.
• The above-mentioned position is purely contractual in nature, non-pensionable, no long-term benefit and shall not be converted into permanent position at any stage.

General Conditions and Disqualifications

1. The candidate must not have been dismissed, removed, or compulsorily retired from any public or private service.

3. Candidate must submit an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper (worth Rs. 100) regarding the absence of conflict of interest and non-involvement in FIA cases or conflict.
4. Declaration of compliance with the FI Act, Proper Function Rule, and non-involvement per Step-7(i) of CMU Guidelines is mandatory.
5. Candidate must provide the Police verification Certificate with application.
6. The prospective candidate must be a Pakistani citizen.
7. HEC equivalence is mandatory for foreign degrees.
8. Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous body employees must apply through proper channel with NOC of the respective department issued on the letter head, which will also be required on day of interview.
9. Candidates shall be required to produce all original documents at the time of interview.

11. All information must be admissible and Government employees, if selected, shall be required to resign from their parent service or proceed on retirement, as applicable, prior to joining.
12. On selection, the candidate must submit at the time of joining an affidavit declaring their non-involvement in any other relevant business/job which may tantamount to conflict of interest.
13. The appointment will be made subject to fulfillment of all legal/administrative formalities.
14. In case of any false or forged document misrepresentation of record, testimonials etc. provided in the application, MEPCO reserves the right to disqualify a candidate at any stage and the costs incurred will be recovered from the applicant.
