How to Prepare for This Role
The Deputy Director Finance position at Medical Teaching Institution GKMC/BKMC/NCN Swabi is a senior contract role requiring CA/ACCA/CIMA/MBA(Finance)/M.Com qualification with a minimum of 5 years of finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior managerial role at Deputy Manager level or above. The role is in a regulated teaching hospital environment governed by the KPK MTI Reform Act 2015. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a test and/or interview. The four areas below outline what the selection committee will evaluate most closely.
The selection committee will verify your professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA Finance, or M.Com) from an HEC recognized institution and your experience certificates confirming at least 5 years in finance, accounts, or audit, with a minimum of 2 years at Deputy Manager level or above. Bring your original degree, professional membership certificate (if CA/ACCA/CIMA affiliate), and experience letters from each employer that clearly state your designation, reporting level, and duration. The ad gives preference to CA, CIMA, or ACCA affiliates, so if you hold one of these professional designations, present your affiliate or membership certificate prominently. Experience letters from public sector organizations, autonomous bodies, or teaching hospitals will be weighted more heavily than private sector experience due to the nature of the institution.
If your experience includes any component of healthcare finance, teaching hospital finance, or government autonomous body finance, highlight this explicitly in your CV and cover letter. The ad specifically lists these as demonstrated experience areas and the selection panel will look for direct relevance to the MTI hospital finance environment in Swabi.
The interview will assess your hands-on knowledge of government financial rules applicable to a KPK public sector teaching hospital. Be prepared to discuss FBR tax compliance requirements for autonomous bodies, Accountant General (AG) Office procedures for government expenditure and reconciliation, and KPPRA (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority) procurement rules and financial authorization thresholds. Review the KPPRA Rules 2014 (as amended) and the financial reporting obligations of KPK autonomous bodies. Understanding how these frameworks interact in the daily finance function of a teaching hospital (payroll, procurement, budget release, treasury reconciliation) will allow you to answer scenario-based questions confidently. Candidates with prior KPK government or AG Office accounting experience will be at a significant advantage.
Review the KPK MTI Reform Act 2015 (As Amended) and understand how it structures the financial governance of MTI institutions. The Deputy Director Finance will operate within this legislative framework, and demonstrating familiarity with how MTI financial decisions are governed, including the role of the Board of Governors in approving financial matters, will signal institutional readiness to the panel.
Experience in audit management and DAC/PAC proceedings is listed as highly desirable and will be directly probed in the interview. Be prepared to explain the Departmental Accounts Committee (DAC) and Public Accounts Committee (PAC) processes: how audit paras are generated by the Auditor General of Pakistan, how they are responded to at the departmental level (DAC), and how unresolved paras proceed to PAC. If you have personally prepared DAC/PAC replies, appeared before these committees, or managed audit compliance for a government body, describe this experience with specific examples. Also be ready to discuss financial ERP systems you have worked with: which modules you used, what financial reporting you generated, and how the system supported budget monitoring and expenditure control in your previous role.
Prepare a brief account of your most significant DAC/PAC engagement: the nature of the audit observation, how you prepared the departmental response, and whether the para was eventually settled. If you have also managed FBR tax audits or external auditor engagements for a public body, include these as additional audit management examples. Specific prior audit experience is one of the key differentiators for this role.

Seal the envelope and clearly write the position (Deputy Director Finance) on the outside. Send through Courier only to: Manager Human Resources, HR Department (Admin Block), Bacha Khan Complex, Shahmansoor, Swabi. The application must reach by 8th July 2026.
