The Government of Punjab Aquaculture & Fisheries Department invites applications from suitable candidates for recruitment on contract basis for the position of Deputy Manager (Hatchery). This is a senior technical position responsible for managing fish hatchery operations, breeding programs, and seed production.

Qualification & Experiences

Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanical) from HEC recognized university
• At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in hatchery management

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 30 years of professional experience in aquaculture/fisheries hatchery operations
• Extensive experience in fish breeding programs, seed production, and hatchery management
• Knowledge of water quality management, fish nutrition, and breeding protocols

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all hatchery operations and breeding programs
• Supervise fish seed production and ensure quality standards
• Maintain optimal water quality conditions for breeding and larval development
• Monitor fish health and disease prevention protocols
• Optimize breeding schedules and seed production efficiency
• Manage hatchery staff and equipment
• Ensure compliance with aquaculture standards and regulations
• Coordinate with fisheries research and development teams
• Prepare hatchery operation reports and documentation
• Train staff on hatchery protocols and best practices
