Punjab Enforcement & Regulatory Authority (PERA), Lahore invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Deputy Manager (Internal Affairs) on contract basis. Works at the field level to monitor staff conduct, verify complaints, conduct spot checks, and identify malpractices, bribery, misuse of authority, negligence, and behaviour related issues. Provides field-based input for early assessment of Efficiency & Disciplinary Proceedings.

Job Responsibilities
Areas of Responsibilities
- Perform field-based internal affairs duties within assigned jurisdiction.
- Maintain checks and balances over field staff activities, conduct, public dealing, and enforcement behaviour.
- Identify malpractices, bribery, financial embarrassment of citizens, misuse of authority, negligence, and misconduct in field operations.
- Collect and verify credible information regarding illegal or corrupt practices by employees.
- Conduct discreet field visits, spot checks, complaint verification, and preliminary fact finding.
- Identify loopholes in field enforcement practices, operational procedures, and citizen interaction.
- Prepare field intelligence reports, complaint verification reports, and preliminary investigation notes.
- Provide early assessment of matters that may attract Efficiency & Disciplinary Proceedings.
- Recommend preventive, corrective, administrative, or disciplinary measures to the Manager or Head Internal Affairs & Intelligence.
- Maintain liaison with district field offices, enforcement stations, DERBs, and relevant supervisory officers.
- Monitor behaviour related complaints, misuse of official position, harassment, coercion, illegal gratification, and abuse of power.
- Ensure confidentiality of complainants, sources, witnesses, and sensitive field information.
- Support formal inquiries and investigations by collecting documents, statements, evidence, and field inputs.
- Submit regular reports on high risk officials, vulnerable areas, recurring complaints, and operational weaknesses.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelors/HSSC level education in any discipline from an HEC recognized institution/educational setup.
- 05 years' experience in Armed Forces, Police or any other Law Enforcement Agency. Preference to candidates with experience in premier intelligence organizations within the country.
Competencies & Personal Attributes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with policy making and implementation process.
Appointment
Appointment shall be made by the Director General on the recommendation of Contractual Employment Committee.
Salary and Benefits
SPPP-04 + any other benefit admissible to SPPP-04 as mentioned in Schedule III.
