The Government of Punjab Aquaculture & Fisheries Department invites applications from suitable candidates for recruitment on contract basis for the position of Deputy Manager (Processing Plant) at the Fisheries & Aquaculture Division. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing and managing fish processing operations at the aquaculture facility.

Qualification & Experiences

Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial (Mechanical) from HEC recognized university
• At least 3 years of relevant post-qualification experience in processing plant operations

Professional Experience:

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in aquaculture/fisheries processing or related industrial operations
• Proven experience in managing fish processing plants, equipment maintenance, and production protocols
• Knowledge of food safety standards, quality control, and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all processing plant operations and staff
• Ensure efficient processing of fish and aquatic products according to standards
• Maintain equipment and ensure timely maintenance schedules
• Monitor quality control and compliance with food safety regulations
• Supervise production schedules and optimize output
• Implement cost-effective operational procedures
• Coordinate with other departments and senior management
• Ensure workplace safety and health standards
• Prepare operational reports and documentation
• Train and develop processing plant staff
