About the Job
The Punjab Forest Department is seeking a skilled Drone Operator (PPS-5) to join the development project: "GIS-Based Protection Regime and Establishment of Digital Communication Cell in Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department." This technical role is essential for capturing high-resolution aerial data to monitor forest cover and wildlife habitats using cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology.
Position and Compensation
There is 01 post available for this position. The role offers an initial monthly salary of 70,000/- PKR. The selected candidate will be part of a specialized GIS team and must be flexible regarding their work location, as the place of posting can be anywhere within the Punjab province based on project requirements.
Expanded Candidate Profile
Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree (Second Division) from an HEC-recognized university. Beyond formal education, a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience is required specifically in piloting drones to capture high-quality aerial footage and imagery for natural resource applications. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in planning and executing complex drone flights, which includes advanced route mapping and precise camera calibrations. Furthermore, a deep technical understanding of drone maintenance, equipment calibration, and preliminary data processing is considered essential for this role.
Age Limit and Relaxation
The standard age bracket for this post is 22 to 28 years. However, in accordance with the Govt. of Punjab, S&GAD Notification No. SORI(S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 08-08-2016, general age relaxation is applicable at the date of advertisement. This allows male candidates up to 33 years and female candidates up to 36 years in the upper age limit.
Mandatory Terms and Conditions
The recruitment is purely on a contractual basis for the duration of the project, with annual increments applied according to approved PC-1 or government policies. This opportunity is exclusively open to candidates with a Punjab Province domicile. In-service candidates are required to apply through the proper channel and must provide an NOC/DPC from their respective departments during the interview.
The Department maintains the authority to shortlist candidates based on merit, and the Selection Committee's decision is final. The Authority also reserves the right to increase, decrease, or cancel the recruitment of posts at any time without prior notice. Please note that selected candidates cannot claim permanent appointment, and no TA/DA will be provided for tests or interviews.
