About the Job


The Finance Division, Government of Pakistan, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Tax Lawyer to join the Tax Policy Office in Islamabad. This role is pivotal in providing expert legal counsel and analytical support to ensure the effective implementation of tax policies and legislative frameworks. As a key member of the team, you will handle complex legal matters related to taxation, drafting, and policy simulation to support the national economy.


Key Responsibilities


  • Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal opinions on complex tax matters, including International Taxation, GST/FED, and Corporate tax policies.
  • Legislative Drafting: Assist in the drafting and review of tax laws, amendments, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Litigation Management: Represent and manage legal proceedings related to tax disputes in coordination with relevant authorities.
  • Policy Support: Analyze the legal implications of proposed tax reforms and ensure alignment with national and international legal standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure all departmental policy recommendations adhere to the prevailing legal statutes of Pakistan.
