How to Prepare for This Role
The Food Security & Agri Export Promotion Consultant role at the Ministry of National Food Security and Research is a senior-level position requiring extensive experience in agricultural export development and food safety compliance. The panel will evaluate your knowledge of international trade standards, agri-export policy, and your ability to work across the agricultural supply chain. The guide below outlines the key preparation areas.
Your 15+ years of progressive experience in agri-export, agri-supply chain, and value addition will be the primary focus of the interview. Be ready to discuss specific export promotion initiatives you have led or contributed to, supply chain optimization projects in the agriculture sector, and how you have worked to enhance value addition for Pakistani agricultural products in international markets.
Prepare three to four examples of agri-export or supply chain projects with measurable outcomes: export volumes achieved, new markets opened, supply chain costs reduced, or value addition percentages improved. Quantified achievements stand out strongly in SPPS-level interviews.
The panel will assess your knowledge of SPS standards, Codex Alimentarius, and internationally recognized food safety and phytosanitary requirements. Be prepared to explain how Pakistan must comply with SPS measures to access international markets, how you have worked with regulatory bodies on food safety certification, and your practical experience implementing or auditing these standards across the agricultural supply chain.
Knowledge of both national PSQCA/DRAP standards and international requirements (EU, USA, China, Middle East) for agricultural exports is a key differentiator. Be ready to discuss specific market access challenges Pakistan faces in agri-exports and how SPS compliance can be improved.
Your experience in policy development, regulatory affairs, and agricultural trade negotiation will be evaluated. Be prepared to discuss examples of policies or legislative frameworks you have developed or contributed to in the agriculture sector, your role in international trade negotiations related to agri-exports, and how Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) can be promoted to enhance Pakistan's export competitiveness.
Review Pakistan's current agricultural export performance, key commodities (rice, mangoes, citrus, cotton textiles), major markets, and active trade agreements. The panel may ask you to diagnose a specific export challenge and propose a policy or regulatory solution.
Submit your CV and covering letter both by email (admnmnfsr@gmail.com) and by courier/registered post to Room No. 407, B-Block (4th Floor), Pak. Secretariat, Islamabad within 15 days of this advertisement (by 06 July 2026). Clearly mention the position title on the envelope. Bring all original documents to the interview.
