Additionally, there must be no 3rd division in your entire academic career, including Matric, Intermediate, Bachelor's, and Master's degrees. The test and interview will assess your subject knowledge in the specialization you are applying for within the Accounting & Finance department. For General Management, prepare on organizational behavior, strategic management, principles of management, human resource management, operations management, and leadership theories. For Entrepreneurship, prepare on new venture creation, business model development, startup financing, innovation management, feasibility analysis, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan. In both cases, be ready to discuss how you would deliver an undergraduate or postgraduate course in your specialization, including course outcomes, assessment strategies, and real-world case examples you would use in teaching. Review recent HEC-approved curricula for Business Administration and Accounting & Finance programs.

The interview panel at a government university will assess your understanding of teaching methodology and research expectations for a lecturer-level faculty position. Be prepared to discuss how you design a lesson plan for a management or entrepreneurship course, how you would assess student learning (assignments, projects, quizzes, presentations), and how you handle a mixed-ability classroom. If you have research publications, teaching experience, or industry experience in management or entrepreneurship, prepare to discuss these concisely. Industry experience can be particularly valuable for entrepreneurship teaching and will be viewed positively by the panel.
