How to Prepare for This Role
- Manager SQA I at PSW is a senior leadership position requiring 10-11+ years of SQA experience with a proven track record in team management. Interviewers will assess both your technical depth and your ability to define and own a QA strategy at the organizational level. Prepare to walk through a QA strategy you designed end to end, how you measured its impact, and how you mentored a QA team to deliver it consistently across product lines.
- Test automation architecture is a core competency for this role. Be ready to demonstrate hands-on expertise with Selenium and TestNG, and to discuss how you have designed scalable automation frameworks from scratch. Prepare to explain framework structure decisions, how you achieved cross-platform and cross-browser coverage, and how you integrated Postman or SoapUI for API test automation within a CI/CD pipeline.
- CI/CD integration of automated testing is explicitly required. Prepare examples of how you embedded automated test suites into DevOps pipelines, coordinated with development and infrastructure teams, and maintained testing velocity during continuous deployment cycles. Knowledge of how to structure smoke testing, regression gates, and post-release verification in a pipeline will be directly assessed.
- SQL proficiency for backend data verification is a listed requirement. Be ready to write or explain complex queries used for data reconciliation and troubleshooting. Candidates who can demonstrate real diagnostic use of SQL in a QA context, not just basic SELECT statements, will stand out. Similarly, prepare load and performance testing examples using JMeter or LoadRunner against APIs and microservices.
- Security testing knowledge is specifically called out. Review OWASP Top 10 risks and be ready to describe how you have used OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite in a testing workflow. Prepare specific examples of vulnerability assessments you contributed to and how findings were tracked through to resolution.
- AI-assisted testing experience is an explicit differentiator for this role. Prepare to discuss how you have integrated tools such as Lunor or LLM-based approaches into QA workflows, specifically for test case generation, regression optimization, or defect prioritization. Candidates who can articulate practical AI application in a QA pipeline rather than just familiarity with the concept will have a significant advantage.
