PSW is hiring a Principal SQA Engineer II (Job Code: SP 013) based in Karachi, Sindh. This is a full-time, on-site role within the Innovation & Special Projects department. The Principal SQA Engineer will enforce quality standards across product delivery, design and develop automated test suites, lead AI-driven testing adoption, integrate automated and AI testing into CI/CD pipelines, conduct API and performance testing, mentor team members, and contribute to autonomous test execution platforms.

Responsibilities

• Ensure good quality standards for product delivery and compliance with user and business requirements
• Evaluate and test software applications according to business and functional requirements
• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software stability, functionality, and performance
• Document test results and create/update requirements, test plans, and test documentation as needed
• Ensure testing activities are completed on schedule and aligned with defined QA processes
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to streamline the execution of test cases, test plans, and testing processes
• Apply strong database testing concepts to validate data accuracy and integrity
• Apply knowledge of QA best practices and methodologies to design, implement, and automate testing processes
• Conduct hands-on testing of REST and SOAP APIs using tools such as POSTMAN and SOAPUI
• Execute cross-platform and cross-browser testing and performance testing using LoadRunner, JMeter, and similar tools
• Develop automation testing scripts and implement test automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, Playwright, Cypress, and similar tools
• Design and develop automated test suites for functional, regression, and integration testing, working in Agile environments such as Scrum and Kanban
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members
• Lead the adoption of AI-driven testing practices, including AI-assisted test case generation and intelligent test execution
• Implement AI-powered automation frameworks and self-healing test automation to improve test stability and reduce maintenance
• Leverage AI tools for test data generation, defect prediction, and intelligent test coverage optimization
• Contribute to the design and implementation of autonomous or AI-assisted test execution platforms and integrate automated and AI testing solutions into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's (4-year, HEC recognised) degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field
• 7 to 8 years of experience in automation testing, automation test script development, framework design, and implementation using Selenium, TestNG, Playwright, Cypress, and similar tools
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent test automation solutions
• Ability to write test cases, test scripts, test scenarios, and testing procedures including Unit, BAI, Regression, Functional, Systems, Stress and Scale, Smoke, and Sanity
• Experience in cross-platform and cross-browser testing
• Experience in performance testing using LoadRunner, JMeter, and similar tools
• Understanding of software testing principles, standards, and test cycles
• Knowledge of QA best practices and methodologies to design, implement, and automate testing processes
• Understanding and hands-on testing experience of REST and SOAP APIs using POSTMAN and SOAPUI
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar tools
