Eligibility Criteria

Education

• BS in Surgical Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Experience

Potential Key Responsibilities

• Assist consultant urologists in performing Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL) and related stone fragmentation procedures
• Prepare patients for lithotripsy including positioning, coupling agent application, imaging alignment, and equipment setup
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain lithotripsy equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and SIUT clinical protocols
• Monitor patients during and immediately after lithotripsy procedures for vital signs, pain response, and early complications
• Assist in urological diagnostic and surgical procedures within the Urology department as directed by the consultant team
• Maintain accurate procedure records, patient documentation, lithotripsy treatment logs, and equipment maintenance records
• Ensure strict sterility, infection control standards, and equipment hygiene within the lithotripsy suite and procedure areas
• Coordinate with radiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff for smooth execution of multi-disciplinary urological procedures
