About the Job
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) is seeking applications from qualified professionals for the position of Incident Response Officer through the Punjab Recruitment portal. - Master's or Bachelor's (Honors) degree with 16 years of education in one of the following disciplines:

Potential Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to security incidents 24/7, following established incident response procedures
- Conduct incident response including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery from security incidents
- Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices
- Monitor and administer EDR/XDR solutions with hands-on technical expertise
- Monitor SIEM solution and conduct incident analysis
- Investigate security incidents using forensic analysis to determine root causes, scope, and impact
- Implement containment strategies and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Document findings and remediation actions comprehensively
- Utilize threat intelligence tools to stay updated on emerging threats
- Participate in VAPT activities to identify potential weaknesses
- Ensure timely and effective response to security incidents, minimizing potential impact
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks
- Conduct training and optimize CERT programs
