About the Job
The Punjab Forest Department is seeking a qualified Assistant Director Geospatial Modelling (PPS-7) for the "GIS-Based Protection Regime" project. This role is essential for applying spatial analytics to the protection and digital monitoring of forest, wildlife, and fisheries resources throughout Punjab.
Position Summary
The post offers an initial monthly salary of 157,500/- PKR. The selected professional must be prepared to serve anywhere within the Punjab province as required by the department's project goals.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates require 16 years of education (Second Division) in Space Science, Remote Sensing & GIS, Geo-informatics, or an equivalent field from an HEC-recognized university. Applicants must possess at least two years of post-qualification experience, including a minimum of one year specifically using GIS applications in forestry or natural resource management within a reputable public or private organization.
Age Limit & Relaxation
The base age limit is 23 to 30 years. Per Government of Punjab, S&GAD Notification No. SORI(S&GAD)9-36/81 dated 08-08-2016, a general age relaxation is granted at the date of advertisement: males receive +5 years and females receive +8 years in the upper age limit.
Mandatory Conditions
Recruitment is strictly on a contractual basis for the project period, with annual increments applied per approved PC-1 or government policies. Only candidates with a Punjab Province domicile are eligible. In-service candidates must obtain and provide an NOC/DPC from their respective departments at the time of interview.
The Department reserves the right to shortlist candidates, and the Selection Committee's decision is final. The Authority may increase, decrease, or cancel the recruitment of posts at any time without prior notice. Selected candidates cannot claim permanent appointment, and no TA/DA is admissible for tests or interviews.

Submitting hard copies is mandatory. For those applying to multiple posts, separate applications must be submitted for each. The post name must be clearly mentioned on both the application and the envelope. Incomplete or late applications reaching after the May 31, 2026 deadline will be rejected without notice.
Shortlisted candidates will be notified of test/interview dates via email or contact number and must bring all original documents, two passport-sized photos, and a detailed CV to the interview.
