SIUT's Nephrology Department is among the largest and most advanced nephrology units in South Asia, managing patients with a broad spectrum of kidney diseases including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, dialysis-dependent end-stage renal disease, and the unique population of living kidney donors and transplant recipients. As an RMO, you will provide continuous clinical care to inpatients and emergency patients under the supervision of experienced nephrologists, working across ward, emergency, and ICU settings. Potential Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessment, continuous monitoring, and clinical management of nephrology patients across inpatient wards, emergency departments, and intensive care units
• Implement treatment plans and perform clinical procedures under consultant supervision including IV cannulation, blood draws, urinalysis interpretation, and dialysis line management assistance
• Respond promptly to acute renal emergencies including acute kidney injury, severe hyperkalemia, fluid overload with pulmonary edema, severe hypertension, and dialysis-related complications
• Participate in on-call and rotational shift duties providing continuous medical care to admitted nephrology patients and emergency presentations 24 hours per day as per institutional roster
• Maintain accurate and complete medical documentation including detailed admission histories, daily progress notes, investigation requests and interpretation, dialysis session records, and discharge summaries
• Monitor and manage critical renal parameters including fluid balance, electrolyte status (potassium, sodium, phosphorus, calcium), acid-base balance, blood pressure, and renal function trends
• Coordinate patient care with nursing staff, dialysis technicians, dietitians, radiologists, and specialist teams ensuring integrated multidisciplinary management of renal patients
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding kidney disease diagnosis, treatment options, dialysis necessity, transplant potential, and clinical prognosis in understandable terms
• Assist senior nephrology consultants during ward rounds, outpatient clinics, emergency consultations, and procedural interventions including renal biopsies, fistula assessments, and dialysis catheter insertions
• Adhere to SIUT's clinical protocols, infection prevention standards (especially for immunocompromised and dialysis patients), patient safety guidelines, and infection control requirements at all times
