Expert Tips
- This position is marked urgent, meaning SIUT is actively shortlisting — apply immediately rather than waiting until the deadline. Urgent vacancies at SIUT are filled as soon as a suitable candidate is identified, and the June 29, 2026 deadline is the latest cutoff, not the target date. Submit a complete, accurate application with all documents today. Incomplete applications submitted late are almost never considered for urgent posts, regardless of the applicant's qualification.
- Your house job completion certificate and PMDC registration are the two most critical documents — ensure both are current and valid. SIUT's HR department verifies MBBS credentials and PMDC registration status during shortlisting. If your PMDC registration is pending renewal, initiate it before applying. Your house job completion certificate must cover the full 12-month period. Partial or rotational certificates without a consolidated completion letter from the teaching hospital are frequently rejected at the document verification stage.
- Describe your house job rotations in specific clinical detail, not just department names. In your CV, for each rotation (Medicine, Surgery, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, etc.), include the hospital name, duration, case volume per shift, procedures performed independently, and the acuity level of patients managed. SIUT's Urgent Care Clinic sees complex nephrology and urology cases — if any of your house job rotations included renal medicine, general surgery, or ICU exposure, highlight these prominently as they are directly relevant.
- SIUT is a nephrology and transplantation institution — research its clinical environment before your interview. Unlike a general hospital RMO role, working at SIUT means you will regularly encounter patients with acute kidney injury, end-stage renal disease, post-transplant complications, immunosuppression-related infections, and urological emergencies. You do not need specialist knowledge at the MBBS level, but being able to name common presentations in these areas and expressing genuine interest in nephrology and transplant medicine during your interview signals preparation and motivation beyond the minimum required.
