How to Prepare for This Role
A Chief Security Officer interview at RMU evaluates your military service record, leadership experience, knowledge of modern security systems, and your approach to campus security management. The panel looks for a proven leader with a clean service record who can secure a busy medical university environment.
Bring military service documents (commission certificate, rank certificate, retirement papers), proof of rank (Major or above preferred), service record showing no disciplinary actions, a current medical fitness certificate, fresh CV, CNIC, Punjab Domicile, 2x fresh passport-size colored photographs, and Demand Draft/Pay Order of Rs. 1,000 in favor of “Vice Chancellor RMU”. Bring NOC and Experience Certificate if currently employed in any Government or semi-government body.
Bring a clean copy of your military service record clearly showing no disciplinary actions and that your retirement was not on medical or disciplinary grounds. This is an essential eligibility requirement.
Review modern campus security protocols including CCTV systems, access control, fire protection, and alarm systems. Be ready to discuss your experience with security policy-making, risk assessment, crisis management, and coordination with police and intelligence agencies. Familiarize yourself with university-specific security challenges including patient safety, large student populations, and managing access to a hospital campus environment.
Campus security at a medical university involves securing both an academic institution and an active hospital. Be ready to explain how your military leadership and security expertise translate to managing access, safety, and emergencies in this dual environment.
Expect questions on your rank and military service record, experience managing large teams, knowledge of modern security systems, approach to risk assessment and crisis management, and how you would coordinate with police and intelligence agencies. Be ready to outline how you would approach security management for a university campus located inside a hospital complex.
Prepare a concise overview of a security challenge you managed during military service, including the problem, your action plan, and the outcome. Concrete examples from your service record will make a strong impression on the panel.
Arrive early with all original and attested documents. Dress formally in civilian attire. Be ready to demonstrate your leadership experience, knowledge of modern security systems, and physical readiness. Confidence, command presence, and genuine commitment to campus security will make a strong impression on the panel.
