Expert Advice for Applicants

Entering a premium international network like SABIS requires adapting to a highly standardized, metrics-driven methodology. Candidates looking to secure an interview should optimize their profiles around the following parameters:

  • Emphasize Methodological Discipline: SABIS relies heavily on its trademarked Point System™ of instruction, where concepts are taught systematically and tested immediately. Your application should demonstrate that you are highly organized, comfortable following structured pacing charts, and receptive to utilizing predefined lesson plans.
  • Highlight Remediation and Performance Tracking: The network prioritizes data-driven interventions for underperforming students. Showcase any experience with cyclical testing, diagnostics, student tracking data, or running targeted remedial sessions to pull struggling learners up to grade standards.
  • Prepare for Qatar Ministry Approval: Getting hired as an international teacher in Doha involves strict regulatory vetting by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE). Ensure your degree title explicitly matches your teaching subject (e.g., Bachelor of Science in Chemistry), as mismatched degrees face high rejection rates during the Qatari work visa and attestation process.
  • Demonstrate Adaptability: Highlight your experience working in diverse, international settings and your ability to support students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
