Shaheed Allah Bukhsh Soomro University of Art, Design & Heritages (SABSU) is a public sector university located in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. SABSU invites applications from eligible Pakistani Nationals for the most senior academic position of Professor (BPS-21) in the Department of Architecture. The Professor is expected to lead teaching and research activities, mentor junior faculty, supervise postgraduate students, and make significant scholarly contributions to the architectural discipline. This is an initial contractual appointment for a period of 3 years.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following qualification criteria:

• PhD from HEC recognized University/Institution in the relevant field, OR
• M.Arch./MPhil or equivalent degree in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution

Experience Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following experience criteria:

• 12 years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post-Graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization, AND 10 years post-PhD level experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post-Graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization, OR
• 15 years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Post-Graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization

Research Publications Requirement

Applicants must meet one of the following:

• 12 research publications with at least 3 publications in the last five years in HEC recognized Journals, OR
• Recognition in at least four national/international architectural design competitions or design excellence awards

Special Requirements

• Valid PCATP (Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners) registration is mandatory for Architecture faculty applicants
• Attested photocopies of all relevant documents are required
• Three copies of bio-data along with required and other relevant documents must be submitted
• Candidates applying for more than one post should submit a separate application form for each post, along with a separate bank challan and the necessary documents
• Government employees must attach a NOC from their employer
• Initial appointment will be made on a purely contractual basis for a period of 3 years
