About the Job
The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which is a high-level apex body established by the Government of Pakistan to facilitate investment and accelerate sustainable economic growth, is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Regional / Country Desk Officer (Europe, Americas). The Regional / Country Desk Officer will focus on the Europe and Americas region, conducting research, identifying investment opportunities, promoting Pakistan's investment potential, and facilitating investor engagement through stakeholder collaboration and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough research on the relevant region / country's economic outlook, investment policies, legal framework and market trends.
- Identifying prospective sectors with growth potential and areas where FDI can be encouraged.
- Promoting investment opportunities within assigned country by collaborating with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry associations and potential investors.
- Identifying potential investors based on their industry, region and investment preferences.
- Assisting investors throughout the investment process, from initial inquiries to project implementation.
- Providing information, coordinating with relevant authorities and addressing any challenges.
- Collaborating with government agencies to advocate for investor-friendly policies, regulatory reforms and incentives.
- Building and maintaining relationships with international stakeholders of the concerned country, including businesses, chambers of commerce and diplomatic missions.
- Organizing investment-related events, conferences and seminars.
- Showcasing the country's investment potential and connect with potential investors.
- Any other assignment/duty by the Competent Authority.
Educational Qualification
M.A. / M.Sc. / (16 years of education in relevant field) / International Relations (IR) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
Experience
At least 3 years of post-qualification experience of foreign partners / companies / businesses. With knowledge of public / private sector working, good analytical and writing skills to prepare positions' papers, summaries, presentations and analytical reports.
