About the Job

The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which is a high-level apex body established by the Government of Pakistan to facilitate investment and accelerate sustainable economic growth, is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Research Associate (Country/Regional Desk) with regional focus on KSA and UAE.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

1. To carry out detailed quantitative, qualitative and financial analysis of investment opportunities of relevant region/country with respect to economy and investments and prepare presentations and reports.
2. To carry out the research work in connection with respect to promotion, facilitation and aftercare of investment / industrialization in the country etc.
3. To carry out the research work in connection with concerned country and regional projects of SIFC etc.
4. Review target country/regions with regards to respective area of industrial zone, availability of raw material, skilled labor force etc. on continuous basis.
5. To maintain and up-date database of national and international policies on the subjects of investment, trade, FDI generic and country/region wise, ease of doing business and industry etc.
6. To generate country wise profiles, statistical and graphical reports on national and international information regarding rules, regulations, incentives etc. in vogue and their comparisons.
7. To study successful models of international IPAs (Investments Promotion Agencies) / IIAs (International Investment Agreement) to redefine and redesign the role of SIFC for improved working.
8. Prepare and maintain archive database.
9. To support outreach and engagement efforts with relevant region/ country.
10. Any other tasks assigned by the competent authority.

Educational Qualification

M.A. / M.Sc. / BS / (16 years of education in relevant field) in the specified country/region, preferably with post qualification experience in the related field.

Tech Expertise: Candidate should have knowledge of the said statistical softwares: Stata, Eviews, SPSS etc

Experience

Preferably with some post qualification experience in the related field. With knowledge of public / private sector working, good communication, analytical and writing skills to prepare positions' papers, summaries, presentations, analytical reports and statistical reports and analysis.
