How to Prepare for This Role
The Sport Instructor (Male) (BPS-16) position at MNS University of Agriculture Multan is a regular post with two qualification routes: a Master's Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University, or a Bachelor's degree with a diploma in Physical Education plus five years of experience in organizing and conducting games and sports in a University, Board of Education, or College of repute. The ad also states that candidates who are sportsmen of Provincial or National Standing are preferred. The selection process will assess both academic credentials and practical sporting competence. The four areas below cover what the interview panel will evaluate.
There are two routes for this position. The first is a Master's Degree in Physical Education from a recognized University. The second is a Bachelor's degree from a recognized University combined with a diploma in Physical Education and five years of experience organizing and conducting games and sports in a University, Board of Education, or College of repute. If applying under the Master's route, bring attested copies of your degree and all DMCs. If applying under the Bachelor's plus diploma route, bring your degree certificate, diploma certificate, and experience certificates covering the full five years, each clearly stating the institution (University, Board of Education, or College of repute) and the nature of duties in sports organization and conduct. Applications claiming experience in institutions other than those specified will not satisfy the qualification.
The diploma in Physical Education must be in addition to the Bachelor's degree, not a substitute for part of it. Ensure your diploma certificate is from a recognized institution and is specifically in Physical Education or Sports Sciences. A general fitness or coaching certificate from a private organization will not satisfy this requirement.
The advertisement states that candidates who are sportsmen of Provincial or National Standing are preferred. This is a significant differentiator in the selection process. If you have represented a provincial team, a national team, or a university at a provincial or national level competition, bring documentary evidence such as participation certificates, selection letters, trophies, or media coverage records. Also bring any certificates from sports federations, Provincial Olympic Associations, or Pakistan Sports Board that confirm your participation level. During the interview, be specific about which sport or sports you have played at a representative level, the years and events involved, and your performance record. Candidates without provincial or national standing should still apply if they meet the primary qualification but must present strong practical experience to compensate.
The preference for provincial or national standing applies to both qualification routes. Even a Master's degree holder benefits from documented sporting achievement at a representative level. This preference reflects the University's desire for an instructor who can inspire students through personal sporting credibility, not just academic knowledge of physical education.
The core job of a Sport Instructor involves organizing, scheduling, and conducting sports activities and competitions for university students. The interview panel will assess your ability to plan and run sports events, train students in specific sports disciplines, maintain sports equipment and facilities, and coordinate inter-departmental or inter-university competitions. Be ready to describe specific sports events or programs you have organized, the number of students or teams involved, how you managed scheduling and logistics, and any results or achievements. For candidates applying under the Bachelor's plus diploma route, the five-year experience requirement means you should have substantial organized activity under your belt and should be able to speak in detail about your role and responsibilities in each institution.
If you are currently in service in a university, college, or Board of Education sports department, apply through proper channel with a NOC and attach your ACRs for the last five years if required. Your existing institutional context as a sports organizer within an educational institution is directly relevant to this role and should be highlighted prominently.
For non-teaching positions, the University requires two complete sets (dossiers), each containing attested copies of all certificates, degrees, testimonials, detailed marks certificates, experience certificates, and the Original Bank Draft of Rs. 2,000/-. For this post, also include any sports achievement certificates, participation records, or federation documents that support a claim of provincial or national standing. Prepare both dossier sets well in advance and verify every document is properly attested. The online application must be submitted by 20th July 2026, and the hard form dossiers must reach the University by 22nd July 2026.
