Expert Tips
- R-LNG invoice verification requires understanding energy commodity pricing formulas. R-LNG invoices are typically priced against international benchmarks (JKM, Henry Hub, or Brent-linked formulas) with volumetric measurement in MMBTUs or BCF. Candidates who can demonstrate they have reviewed energy commodity invoices, verified pricing against benchmark indices, and checked volumetric calculations against metering data will be significantly preferred over those with general accounts payable experience.
- Accounts payable/receivable reconciliation experience should be described with scale and complexity. SSGC's R-LNG business involves very large-value transactions with multiple international and domestic counterparties. Describe the monthly value of payables you have reconciled, the number of vendor accounts managed, and the resolution process for outstanding or disputed balances. Scale and complexity of prior experience directly reflects your readiness for this role.
- Litigation avoidance and late fee prevention is a board-level concern for SSGC. Delays in R-LNG invoice payments result in contractual penalties and have historically led to supply disruptions. Your CV should explicitly show any experience in payment schedule management, escalation processes for overdue invoices, or coordination with legal teams on payment-related claims. This is not routine AP work — it has strategic and operational consequences.
- CA and ACMA freshers should highlight energy, utility, or large corporate articleship experience. Freshers who completed training at firms with SSGC, SUI Northern, OGDCL, PSO, or other energy sector clients have a structural advantage. Describe the type of transactions reviewed, any R-LNG or commodity billing exposure, and the nature of audit or accounting procedures performed during those engagements.
