Eligibility Criteria

Education

• B.ScN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) or Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery from a recognized institution
• Valid PNC (Pakistan Nursing Council) registration is mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Staff Nurse
• Paediatric nursing and Emergency Department experience is preferred
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications are considered advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care across specialized units including ICU, CCU, HDU, Emergency, Urology, and Nephrology
• Respond promptly and effectively to patient emergencies, initiating life-saving interventions as per SIUT clinical protocols
• Manage, operate, and maintain medical equipment including ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and dialysis support devices
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in coordination with the attending physician and multidisciplinary team
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
• Assist consultants and surgical teams in bedside procedures while strictly maintaining infection control and sterile technique
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in medical records and nursing notes
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team regarding patient condition, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Provide patient and family health education on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care
• Mentor and support junior nurses and nursing students in clinical skills and professional practice
• Adhere to SIUT hospital safety protocols, infection prevention guidelines, and nursing quality standards at all times
