Key Responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll accurately, timely, and in compliance with Qatar Labor Law and organizational payroll policies
- Maintain and update employee payroll records including personal data, salary structures, and deduction information
- Calculate employee salaries, allowances, deductions, taxes, and benefits according to company policy and regulatory requirements
- Manage leave and time-off tracking, calculating accrued leave balances and processing leave requests
- Handle benefits administration including health insurance, pension contributions, and gratuity calculations
- Coordinate with the HR department to ensure accurate employee data and timely receipt of hiring, termination, and salary adjustment notifications
- Coordinate with the Finance department regarding payroll funding and accounts payable reconciliation
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries regarding salary calculations, deductions, and benefits
- Ensure compliance with Qatar Labor Law, Ministry of Administrative Development regulations, and WPS (Wage Protection System) requirements
- Prepare payroll reports and reconciliation statements for management and external audits
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation and audit trails for regulatory compliance
- Perform month-end and year-end payroll close procedures including final settlement calculations
Required Qualifications & Technical Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or closely related field
- 3–5 years of proven payroll processing and administration experience
- Strong knowledge of Qatar payroll regulations including Labor Law requirements and statutory calculations
- Strong proficiency with Wage Protection System (WPS) and WPS compliance procedures
- Hands-on experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information System) platforms, specifically MenaItech or similar systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy in numerical data processing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and meet tight payroll deadlines
- Preferred: Residency in Qatar or willingness to relocate
