About the Job

The University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Taxila is inviting applications from dynamic, dedicated, and competent professionals (Male / Female) from the Nationals of Pakistan domiciled in the Province of the Punjab. These appointments are for various Administrative positions on a Regular or Contract basis in the University.

Vacant Positions

1. Chief Medical Officer (BPS-19)

• No. of Posts: 01 (Regular)
• Eligibility Criteria: M.B.B.S. or equivalent from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission or Pakistan Medical and Dental Council with twelve years' professional experience in BPS-17 or above in Hospitals of Government, semi Government, corporate, or Government Autonomous bodies.
• Age Limit: 35-45

2. Deputy Chief Librarian (BPS-18)

• No. of Posts: 01 (Regular)
• Eligibility Criteria: Master's degree in Library Science from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission and with six years' experience in BPS-17 in the relevant field in Government, semi Government, corporate, or Government autonomous bodies.
• Age Limit: 25-35

3. Montessori Trained Teacher (Female)

• Scale / Pay: Lump sum pay @ Rs: 38000/- per month (Under funding received from Women Development Department, Govt. of the Punjab.)
• No. of Posts: 01 (Contract for a period of one year)
• Eligibility Criteria: * M.A / M.Sc. with B.Ed.
• At least 10 years Teaching experience at Pre-school/Nursery/School
• Written and speaking skills in English

General Instructions & Application Process

Application Fee

• For BPS-18 & 19: Rs. 4,000/- (non-refundable). Fee must comprise a Bank Draft / Postal Order / Bank Challan in the favor of the Treasurer, UET, Taxila.
• For Contract Position (Serial No. 03): There is no application fee. Applicant may submit applications on plain paper along with original documents.

• Attested copies of educational testimonials (Degrees/Certificates, Transcript/DMC)
• Experience certificates (from Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies)
• Copy of CNIC

• Valid registration card of PM&DC (only for Chief Medical Officer)
• Original fee deposit receipt (where applicable)
• Applications must be submitted in the R&I Cell of UET Taxila by post.

Additional Terms & Conditions

• In-Service Candidates: Must apply through the proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their concerned departments/organizations along with their applications.
• Pension Scheme: Pension scheme/benefits shall be governed by the Punjab's "Defined Contribution Pension Scheme (2025)" in accordance with Clause 2(g) of the Punjab Rules, if applicable.
• Probation: For regular positions, the period of probation is 2 years, which can be extended for a further period on the basis of unsatisfactory performance.
• Quota: Prescribed Quota will be admissible where applicable as per rules.
• Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be considered in the light of Government/University rules on a case-to-case basis.
• Selection: Only shortlisted candidates meeting the criteria will be called for test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible at any stage.
• Disqualification: If any educational document or other document provided by the applicants is found incorrect/fake at any stage, the candidate will be disqualified immediately. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will be rejected without notification.
• University Rights: The University reserves the right to increase, decrease, or withdraw any post or all advertisements without assigning any reason.

Expert Tips

• Experience is calculated from post-degree issuance date, not career start. Universities strictly count only professional experience after your degree completion. Submit experience certificates from government, semi-government, or autonomous bodies showing clear start and end dates that meet or exceed the required threshold (12 years for CMO, 6 years for Librarian, 10 years for Teacher).
• Application fee submission matters for shortlisting. For BPS-18 and BPS-19 positions, submit the Rs. 4,000 non-refundable fee via Bank Draft or Postal Order in favor of Treasurer UET Taxila along with your application. Missing fee receipts result in automatic rejection.
• Document authenticity is verified at every stage. Ensure all educational degrees, transcripts, and experience certificates are properly attested. Any discrepancy or fake document discovered at any stage leads to immediate disqualification, even after the interview.
• In-service candidates must obtain NOC immediately. If you work in government or semi-government sector, submit your No Objection Certificate from your current employer along with the application. This is mandatory and applications without NOC will be rejected.
• Hard copy submission by post with all documents is non-negotiable. Unlike online portals, UET Taxila requires physical applications submitted to the R&I Cell by 29 June 2026 at 3:30 PM. Include one recent photograph, attested copies of all documents, CNIC copy, and original fee receipt. Incomplete applications are rejected without notification.
