How to Prepare for This Role
The Deputy Registrar (BPS-18) position at MNS University of Agriculture Multan is a senior regular administrative role requiring a Bachelor's degree (at least 2nd division) and seven years of relevant office experience, including at least three years in Scale-17 in a Public Sector University or Government or Semi-Government Department. The selection process involves document shortlisting followed by an interview. The four areas below cover what the selection committee will assess most closely for this senior registry position.
The most critical eligibility criterion is at least three years of experience in Scale-17 in a Public Sector University or a Government or Semi-Government Department, within the total seven years of relevant office experience. The selection committee will verify this closely at shortlisting. In the interview, clearly explain the posts you held at Scale-17, the organization type (Public Sector University or Government Department), the exact duration, and the nature of your administrative responsibilities at that scale. Bring experience certificates that explicitly state your scale or grade, the organization name, and the dates of service. If your certificate does not mention Scale-17, obtain a clarification letter from your employer confirming your pay scale at the relevant time.
Prepare a clear breakdown of your seven years of experience showing which years were at Scale-17 and which were at lower scales. If you served in different organizations, list them separately with dates and scales. This makes it easy for the committee to verify eligibility without needing to ask follow-up questions.
As Deputy Registrar, you will support the Registrar in managing the University's academic and administrative registry functions. These include maintaining student records, coordinating Syndicate and Academic Council meetings, managing official correspondence, maintaining statutory registers, and overseeing examination-related administrative work. The interview panel will ask how you would manage the University's official documentation systems, handle correspondence with HEC and government bodies, and coordinate between academic departments and the Registrar's office. Experience in a university registry or secretariat in a government or semi-government organization is the most relevant background for this role. Be ready to give specific examples of administrative functions you have handled at Scale-17.
If you are currently in service, apply through the proper channel and submit a NOC from your employer. Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) for the last five years may also be required. Collect these documents in advance as they can take considerable time to obtain from government or university employers.
A Bachelor's degree (at least 2nd division) from a recognized university is required. Bring attested copies of your degree, detailed marks certificate, and transcripts. The committee will verify the division awarded and the recognition status of your university. In the interview, be ready to explain how your academic background supports your administrative career. Candidates with degrees in public administration, law, management sciences, or related disciplines are well suited for this role. If your degree is in a different subject, demonstrate through your career account how your academic training has supported your registry and administrative responsibilities at Scale-17 and below.
If your institution uses a percentage or GPA grading system, attach a conversion letter from the institution confirming the division equivalent of your grade. This prevents ambiguity at the shortlisting stage and ensures the committee can verify your academic eligibility without delay.
For non-teaching positions, the University requires two complete sets (dossiers), each containing attested copies of all certificates, degrees, testimonials, detailed marks certificates, experience certificates, and the Original Bank Draft of Rs. 3,500/-. Incomplete applications will not be entertained and applications received after the due date will not be accepted. Prepare both dossier sets well in advance of the 22nd July 2026 hard form deadline. Ensure every document is properly attested and organized consistently across both sets. The online application must be submitted by 20th July 2026, and the hard form dossiers must reach the University by 22nd July 2026.
