The Finance Division, Government of Pakistan, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Analyst - Personal Income Tax to join the Tax Policy Office in Islamabad. Key Responsibilities
- Taxpayer Data Analysis: Analyze individual tax returns and demographic data to identify patterns in income distribution and tax compliance.
- Policy Evaluation: Assess the impact of tax brackets, exemptions, and credits on different income groups to provide evidence-based policy recommendations.
- Revenue Forecasting: Utilize statistical models to project revenue outcomes resulting from proposed changes to personal income tax legislation.
- Compliance Monitoring: Identify potential areas of tax leakage or avoidance within the individual tax segment and suggest corrective measures.

Job Details
This position is designated as Analyst - Personal Income Tax, operating under the SPPS-III (Special Professional Pay Scale) framework. This scale is designed to attract high-level technical experts by offering a competitive remuneration package consistent with specialized professional standards in the public sector.
The role is based at the Tax Policy Office within the Finance Division located in Islamabad. There are currently 03 (three) posts available for this specialized track. As part of a centralized policy unit, the successful candidates will work in a high-stakes environment at the heart of Pakistan's financial capital, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams of tax lawyers, economists, and data scientists.
