National Bank of Pakistan seeks Branch Operations Manager (OG-II / OG-I) for Aitemaad Islamic Banking division. Report to Regional Executive – Operations. Manage all branch operations, ensure internal controls, compliance, KYC/AML, audit management, customer service, ATM operations, security, cash management, and MIS reporting. Requires 4+ years banking with 2+ years core branch operations experience. Positions in Siah Dik, Chakswari, and Lahore.
Key Responsibilities
- • Be responsible for all branch operations ensuring efficient internal control measures and compliance mechanisms
- • Facilitate Branch Manager in achieving business KPIs and assist in annual budget development and compliance
- • Ensure compliance of Banking Laws, Regulations, instructions and SOP including Shariah Compliance in all tasks
- • Ensure opening and closing of branch operations on predefined bank timings and address customer queries/issues
- • Oversee branch administrative and operational staff and facilitate smooth workflow between departments
- • Supervise all data processing activities and ensure preparation of debit/credit vouchers for daily transactions
- • Supervise account opening process and ensure error-free, timely interbranch transaction execution
- • Ensure Regulatory, KYC/AML/Compliance regulations are strictly implemented during customer relationship establishment
- • Supervise daily compilation and preparation of Statement of affairs and periodic reports/statistics
- • Ensure no un-adjusted General Ledgers (GLs), no pending AML alerts, and no high-risk KYC cases in the branch
- • Ensure all audit observations are addressed and implement Corrective Action Plan (CAP) and Diarized Audit Findings
- • Maintain highest customer service standards to ensure zero complaint management within Turn Around Time (TAT)
- • Review and authorize requests for cancellation, lost/misplacement of remittance instruments
- • Assure collection of utility bills from customers and ensure fund transfers to hub branch
- • Facilitate locker operations to locker holders and ensure proper locker register recording
- • Ensure safe custody of Security & Financial documents and proper collateral management
- • Supervise all credit operations related functions performance (if applicable)
- • Ensure Branch Security Arrangements including guarding, Alarm system and CCTV functionality
- • Supervise development of periodic cash requirements and oversee daily cash issuance/receipt in Vault
- • Ensure timely opening/closing of computerized banking systems and start/end of Day processes
- • Coordinate with Regional Data Centre in case of problems during system processes/day
- • Ensure monthly reporting of all MIS related to branch operations
- • Maintain all files, registers/documentations and comprehensive records maintenance for daily operations
- • Assure that Branch ATMs (including offsite ATMs) are in order with functional CCTV and proper notice placement
- • Ensure cash feeding, cash balancing, alternate power supply availability and rolls in ATMs linked with Branch
- • Ensure fair treatment to customers and educate them about financial products and address concerns/complaints
- • Facilitate (wherever required) review/extra arrangements for visiting Customers, senior citizens, women, PWDs
- • Ensure office discipline, dress code and upkeep of branch premises including hygiene and asset safety
- • Ensure all processes are completed within specified TAT
- • Perform any other assignment as assigned by supervisor(s)
Requirements
- ✓ Minimum Graduation from a local or international university/college/institute recognized by HEC of Pakistan
- ✓ Master's degree, Islamic Banking certification/degree or diploma preferred
- ✓ Minimum 04 years of banking experience
- ✓ 02 years in core branch operations (mandatory)
- ✓ Sound knowledge of SBP Prudential Regulations (PRs) and Islamic banking products
- ✓ Strong understanding of branch banking operations
- ✓ Good leadership and branch management skills
- ✓ Good business acumen and expertise in process efficiency
- ✓ Good analytical and customer-handling skills
- ✓ Excellent written and verbal communication with good interpersonal skills
- ✓ Proficient in MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education
Minimum Graduation from HEC-recognized institution; Master's degree/Islamic Banking certification preferred
Experience
Minimum 04 years banking experience, out of which 02 years in core branch operations
