About the Job
The Finance Division, Government of Pakistan, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Legal Officer (Tax Lawyer) to join the Tax Policy Office in Islamabad. This role is pivotal in providing expert legal counsel and analytical support to ensure the effective implementation of tax policies and legislative frameworks. As a key member of the team, you will handle complex legal matters related to taxation, drafting, and policy simulation to support the national economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal Drafting: Prepare and review legal documents, legislative drafts, and amendments related to tax laws and regulations.
- Case Management: Represent the Finance Division in legal proceedings and provide expert legal opinions on tax-related disputes.
- Policy Analysis: Collaborate with Analysts to evaluate the legal implications of International Taxation, GST/FED, and Corporate tax policies.
- Advisory: Provide sound legal advice to senior management on the interpretation of tax statutes and personal income tax frameworks.
- Compliance: Ensure all departmental actions and policy recommendations align with the prevailing legal standards of Pakistan.
